It’s definitely no secret that Wisconsin is America’s dairy land, but by peering past its borders it’s easy to see that it is much more than that. Every town, city, and neighborhood in Wisconsin offers its own unique personality and character. Kenosha is a city with such a story. Whether you have a family or are living it out on your own, Kenosha, Wisconsin has many things for you to do.
Kenosha is a good size, with a population of nearly 100,000. It is the fourth largest city in Wisconsin and is perched on beautiful Lake Michigan. Kenosha is on the southwest side of Lake Michigan and is located in the southeast corner of Wisconsin. It is family oriented yet offers an exciting nightlife for anyone interested.
Families do not need to look far for things to do in Kenosha. The Kenosha Dream Playground at Petzke Park is a free, fully accessible playground of more than 15,000 square foot space for children of all ages to run and play on. HarborPark is situated on the Lake Michigan shoreline and offers 69 acres of activities and fun. With a splash pad area for the kids and the intriguing Kenosha Sculpture Walk featuring inspiring works of art, HarborPark is a one-stop destination for everyone. The museums are endless—from the Griffin Observatory to the Civil War Museum Exhibit, there is always something new to learn.
For couples and those living the single life, the Mangia Wine Bar offers sophisticated cooking classes and delicious Italian meals. The fine wine lists are detailed and diverse, and there are even classes that educate about the tastes and details of winery. Galleries and theaters, such as the Lemon Street Gallery and ArtSpace and the Kenosha Performing Arts Association, offer extensive opportunities for enjoyment and experience. There are many pubs and sports bars such as Pub 22 and Bindellis Safari. And if you’re feeling adventurous, the Deuces Wild Digital Karaoke-DJ Entertainment is a great place to start.
