Head to Toe Paintball Equipment for the Beginner
While heading down to the local paintball field and playing a few games with your friends or family members is great fun, if you want to pursue the hobby, you can't rely on the rentals from the shop. Eventually, you are going to need to start buying your own paintball equipment, even if you never plan to enter a tournament.
Why should you buy your own equipment? The most important reason is reliability. When you use a company's equipment that they keep at their field and rent out to everyone, it is going to break down a lot more quickly. This means that you are going to have a much higher risk of malfunctions and jams with the markers you are using. You might find that the protective gear that they offer doesn't fit or that the goggles are so scratched and old that you can't see out of them. With your own gear, you wouldn't have to worry about any of this.
You may be thinking that you don't have enough money to buy the paintball equipment that you need. That isn't necessarily true though. Consider the items you need to play and make a list with the most important ones on top.
Of course, the one that is going to be on the top of everyone's list is the paintball gun. You will find many different types of gun available, from the ones that look like replicas of an M4 to high tech markers that are at a professional level. Choose the one that you can afford and that seems to fit your playing style. Check out some reviews to learn more about the markers before you buy.
Safety gear should be high on your list as well. You want to have a mask that covers your face and eyes, naturally. However, consider getting some elbow and kneepads as well. They can save you from some serious swelling and bruising if you were to get hit in the knee or the elbow.
You don't have to buy all of the paintball equipment at once. Buy a little at a time until you have all you need. Also, when you find an online seller, you will discover that they often have much better prices than the retail stores in your area. If you want to save some more money on your gear, buying online is a great way to do it.
