What did Kenosha Search for in 2020?

Google released their annual Google’s Year in Search on December 9th and it probably isn’t tough to know what a few of the top topics were: Elections and coronavirus. 

Of course, a lot more happened in 2020. Australian wildfires, Kobe Bryant’s death and the rise of trick-shot videos.

The video begins with Google noting that “the most human trait is to want to know why.” Why can’t I sleep? Why is the NBA cancelled? Why is it called COVID-19? 

And people took to Google in droves in 2020, with an approximate 3.5 billion searches per day or 1.2 trillion searches this year. To bring some perspective, in 2001 there were about as many searches in the entire year as there were in a week in 2020. 

What’s really neat is that Google makes a lot of this data available to anyone that wants to check it out: It’s called Google Trends. Google Trends provides data on the relative popularity of terms, allowing you to sort and filter by years, locations and types.

And people took to Google in droves in 2020, with an approximate 3.5 billion searches per day or 1.2 trillion searches this year.

For example, if you want to know if more people in Wisconsin searched for “The Spot” or “Big Star” you can find that out (The Spot is the winner). 

Yet, there is only so much data Google will provide. Local search data is not available, which means we can’t know for sure what Kenoshans were searching for in 2020. 

And that’s where you come in. We need your help in determining what the top searches were in Kenosha for 2020. Here’s what to do:
