Over the years, we have had the honor to help so many families get into their dream homes. Though, there are always a few that stand out. Below are some of the team’s most memorable experiences helping members of our community and we are so thankful to be able to share them with all of you. Let’s get into the Thanksgiving spirit!
There are so many stories I could share where I have been inspired by the buyers or sellers who allowed me to help them in making one of the biggest decisions of their lives!
One story that really sticks out to me was this time a military family came to me looking to buy. They did not know the area and asked for direction in making the best decision for their unique position…they would need to relocate in three years!
I did everything in my power to get them the materials they would need to make an informed decision that was best for their family. Three years later…it was time for them to sell!
After strategic staging and marketing, we were able to sell their house for $100,000.00 more than what they initially purchased it for. The amount of gratitude expressed by this family for helping them get into this successful position was so moving. I am so incredibly grateful for a career that allows me the opportunity to help people during one of the most important financial decisions that they will make! Every day!! I can never say thank you enough!
I once worked with a single mother who didn’t think that buying a home was realistic for her. She had some good savings, good credit, and a steady job. I knew of a grant program that could be paired with a conventional loan that only required a 3% down payment. With only 3% down in addition to the money from the grant program, I knew this would be a perfect match for her!
She filled out the application, was pre-approved, and found a move-in-ready home for her and her daughter. She loved the home as it gave her peace of mind knowing all major appliances had been recently repaired/replaced. She knew this was a huge stepping stone and was so excited to have a place of her own for her and her daughter.
When we first met she asked questions and shared her goals with us. By the time we were through with everything, we had hit all her goals! Nothing better!
Many look to us as a resource and we are so grateful to be able to help people in our community to start investing! We completely understand that no two situations are the same. We do everything we can to help clients find the best way into their homes.
I am so thankful that she came to us to help her!
One story that I’m especially thankful for is being able to help a member of the military as they were stationed outside of the U.S. with very limited service. It was their first-ever home purchase, so I needed to make sure that they were comfortable with the process.
We had a FaceTime consultation at 10:30 pm one night to go over what they could expect purchasing a home in the market at that time.
I was able to get them approved with a great, local lender who understood their situation and not-so-normal timing. We did a few virtual showings when timing and occupancy of the listed home would allow. Some were late in the evening, while others were early in the morning before the workday began!
Once we found, “The One,” a very strong offer was submitted along with a letter from the buyer explaining their situation. Even though our offer was one of many, the seller chose us!
Throughout the process, there were many phone calls, emails, and texts exchanged to negotiate repairs, give advice, share contacts, schedule utilities, and other assistance that could be provided to make them feel as comfortable as possible – especially during their first home-buying experience.
Closing day was emotional.
It was the first time that they had physically seen the home and it was even better than they imagined. For me, there was a strong sense of accomplishment, but also a huge feeling of appreciation and gratitude that I had for not only being a Realtor but being able to help someone who served our great country.
I’m thankful for each and every member of the armed forces and consider it an honor and privilege to help them in one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives!
As many people know, this past spring brought forth an extremely competitive market, to say the least. One particularly good memory I have from that experience was when I was working with a family that was competing against SEVENTEEN other offers!!
I had to be exceedingly strategic in how I would approach such a competitive situation for my buyers. Especially when their offer was not the highest, nor were they on the strongest terms.
However, I found a unique way for my buyers to connect with the sellers…and they ended up coming out on top!!
Making that phone call to let them know that they got their dream house was so special and definitely one I will never forget! So thankful to work in an industry where I get to help people every day!
