Family Fun Fest: The Quest for Fun, co-hosted by Uptown Library, Kenosha LIteracy Council and PlaySpace Kenosha.

The event’s theme is Quest For Fun with activities for kids and adults including pool noodle jousting, creating a family crest, and decorating crowns, along with plenty of selfie opportunities and a food truck.

Kenosha County’s Youth In Governance Representatives and Lunde Ent. for a night of incredible music, tacos by Pedro’s Authentic Mexican Cuisine, and important voter information for Kenosha County’s Spring Election April 5. The musical lineup includes the official debut of three new artists, Tyson Delacy, Lunde side project Buy American and Joey Belotti & The Change Machine. No cover.

This international citizen science project involves the public measuring and collecting night sky brightness observations. KPL has created circulating kits to aid local Citizen Scientists, with special guests from the Hawthorn Hollow Schoolyard Observatory. (This outdoor program will be held the following night if cloud cover is more than 40% at dusk).

Sacred Scars, Shadowed Ground – Battlefield Photographs by Larry Stuart, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Civil War Museum, 5400 1st Ave. This visual narrative of 25 archival photo prints captures the emotional essence of the famous and forgotten stories of the battlefields of Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania County.

One day each year people all over the world visit local museums and galleries to look at art slowly. Participants will gather to look at a work of art for 20 minutes, followed by a discussion. Free.

Sensory Friendly Day, 9-10 a.m., Kenosha Public Museum, 5500 1st Ave.Sensory Friendly Days are designed to give visitors of all ages with complex developmental disabilities, sensory sensitivities, or on the autism spectrum a safe, comfortable environment to explore the museum exhibits during special hours before the museum opens to the general public.
