Annette Londre gives the lowdown on the Metabolic Health Fair Saturday at Harbor Park Health and Fitness

“Kenosha.com’s Mitch Ferraro catches up with Annette Londre, who talks about the Metabolic Health Fair taking place Saturday at Harbor Park Health and Fitness, in the latest installment of “Keeping it Real.”

According to Harbor Park Health and Fitness, here is a synopsis of the event, which runs from 9 a.m. to noon:

  • At the beginning of every hour, we will have a short (10-15 minute) presentation on metabolic health, what it is, and what we are looking for.
  • We will cover all the important health markers, such as body weight, blood pressure, waist circumference, blood sugar levels, etc.
  • We will go over ways in which you can monitor these markers on your own, and how you can improve them.
  • After the seminar, our team of nurses will find your current markers in each area, and they will teach you how you can find them yourself so you can monitor on your own.

“Ultimately, this is what the community needs and the direction we’re headed,” HarborPark Health and Fitness owner Jason Yule said. “It’s fun getting someone in really good shape. It’s even more powerful getting someone from sick to healthy. That’s life-changing stuff.”
