BRISTOL — A new axe throwing range at Boundless Adventures in Kenosha County’s Bristol Woods Park will make its official debut this weekend.
The range offers several lanes available for rentals, for use by one to five people each, featuring both authentic and standard wood targets that are interchangeable upon request.
This amenity will open to the public at 2 p.m. Saturday (June 18), following a grand opening ceremony featuring a ceremonial throwing of the first axe by Kenosha County Board Supervisor Brian Bashaw, whose district includes the park.
“It’s great that Boundless Adventures has added this exciting attraction to its offerings at Bristol Woods Park,” said County Executive Samantha Kerkman. “Axe throwing is an increasingly popular activity, and we’re pleased to offer it as one of the many activities in our Kenosha County Parks.”
The new axe throwing cages are designed for safety, and instructors will be available to teach the basics of the sport and facilitate the user experience.
“Boundless Adventures continues to lead the way in our region offering one-of-a-kind challenging, outdoor experiences for people of all ages,” said General Manager Chris Saimond.
“We are excited to be the only outdoor axe throwing range in our area open seven days a week, sitting on the same property as our amazing aerial adventure park.”
The minimum age to participate in axe throwing is 12. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Reservations are highly encouraged. Visitors may choose to participate in axe throwing only, or add it onto a scheduled climbing expedition in the Boundless Adventures aerial adventure park.
