The popular outdoor concert series features two performances each Thursday in July and August, beginning this week with multiple Blues Music Award winner Lil’ Ed and The Blues Imperials. Afternoon shows provide a sneak preview when select members of the band perform an acoustic show. The full bands take the stage for the evening shows. Spectators may bring their own lawn chairs or blankets for seating, refreshments are available. Free.

Voted “Best Renaissance Faire” for the 10th consecutive year in 2021, the Bristol Renaissance Faire will open Saturday (July 9) for nine weekends, through Labor Day (Monday, Sept. 5). The Faire offers an exciting, eclectic mix of 16th century fun and frivolity located on 30-plus acres.

Festival: 12:30 p.m. Veterans Memorial Park, 52nd Street and 6th Avenue.

Kenosha Pride is an LGBTQ+ Pride march and festival is a family-friendly event featuring will be two entertainment stages, a beer tent, a Sober Bar, pet comfort area with pet specific vendors, children’s area with crafts and activities, a marketplace with food and items to purchase and an information tent with official merchandise.

Kenosha Yacht Club 110th Anniversary Celebration

Second Friday Lecture Series: The Civil War’s Impact on Cream City Brick History, with Presenter Steve Stuckey, noon-1 p.m., Civil War Museum, 5400 1st Ave. Learn the details of how Cream City bricks were traditionally made, the reasons behind the color, how they differ from other types of bricks, and how the Civil War impacted its story. Buildings with these gems are steadily vanishing, so Stuckey will also connect the importance of saving this material. There will be plenty of fabulous images of Cream City and other historically-significant brick buildings. Free.
