The Kenosha YMCA, 7101 53rd St., is looking for some help.
The YMCA, in partnership with Tender Touch Therapy, needs volunteers with weed wackers and leaf blowers this Friday, from 8 a.m. to noon, to help clear its 1-mile outdoor track for sealing.
Cicchini Asphalt has offered to donate the sealing of the track before the eighth annual Tri My Best Triathlon, which is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 7.
Anyone interested in volunteering to help clean up the track for sealing can sign up HERE.
The Tri My Best Triathlon is a swim/bike/run event for children (ages 5 and up) and adults with developmental disabilities, including autism, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, global delays, etc. All abilities are welcome, including those that may require the use of flotation devices, adapted bikes, walkers, power wheelchairs and other assistive devices. All athletes will be paired up with volunteers to encourage, assist and ensure safety.
For questions about the Tri My Best Triathlon, call Tender Touch Therapy at 262-653-0850.
