Regular gallery hours noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Extended hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursdays and from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturdays. All art exhibits are free and open to the public.
Acrylics International Biennial Exhibition, Kenosha Public Museum, 5500 1st Ave. This inaugural exhibition spotlights 45 paintings demonstrating the variety of subjects, styles, and techniques possible in the acrylic medium, and the diversity and skill of the featured artists. Juried selections were made by artist John Jude Palencar. Museum hours: Monday-Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Sunday noon-5 p.m.

Introduction to Ecocaching, 1, 1:30 or 2 p.m., Pringle Nature Center at Bristol Woods, 9800 160th Ave. ecocaching is a type of treasure hunt using GPS coordinates, and allows explorers to learn about the habitats of Bristol Woods while searching for caches in a ~1-mile loop around the park. Pringle Nature Center staff will provide GPS units, coordinates, and instruction, then you’re off on your adventure! This program is suitable for all ages, though younger explorers will need assistance from an adult. No pre-registration required; please arrive at 1, 1:30, or 2 p.m.

Mickey the Fox Snake Encounter, 2-3 p.m., Richard Bong State Recreation Area, 26313 Burlington Rd. Learn all about snakes and watch as the education snake Mickey is fed, and even get the chance to hold or touch Mickey. Meet in the Visitor Center Auditorium. Vehicle admission sticker is required: $8 per day for vehicles with Wisconsin plates (seniors $3) / $11 for vehicles with out-of-state plates. Annual state park vehicle admission sticker is also available, and state park passes are also available from the Kenosha Public Library.
