Visit Pleasant Prairie hosting Christmas Holiday Lights Tour and Contest

PLEASANT PRAIRIE — Visit Pleasant Prairie is encouraging homeowners to get in the holiday spirit and enter their decorated homes in the Pleasant Prairie Christmas Holiday Lights Tour.

Beginning Friday (Nov. 25) through Dec. 10, home décor submissions will be accepted via https://www.visitpleasantprairie.com/things-to-do/holiday-lights-tour/. Chosen homes will be included on a map for people to tour as they enjoy the decor from the comfort of their cars this season from Dec. 12-26.

Voting will be held from Dec. 12-26.

“Our inaugural Halloween Holiday Lights Tour was such a hit, we are thrilled to be turning right around to offer a Christmas Tour,” says Sarah Howard, Executive Director of Visit Pleasant Prairie. “Let’s take advantage of the extended hours of dark nights and light them up with some holiday cheer!”

Pleasant Prairie residents are instructed to submit a photo of their home’s outdoor holiday décor by the deadline of Dec. 10. Every form submission will be entered into a giveaway. Five giveaway winners will be drawn to claim a prize package valued at over $20 each as a “thank you” for sharing the excitement of the holiday season in Pleasant Prairie. A selection of the submitted properties will be highlighted on the inaugural Christmas Holiday Lights Tour Map.

Pleasant Prairie residents are instructed to submit a photo of their home’s outdoor holiday décor by the deadline of Dec. 10.

Then, from Dec. 12-26, visitors and residents are encouraged to download a tour map from the Visit Pleasant Prairie Christmas Holiday Lights webpage, sip on some hot cocoa or apple cider, drive around to see the best holiday decor Pleasant Prairie has to offer, and vote for their top five favorite homes. The top five vote getters will receive a holiday trophy and ornament, a gift card to Pleasant Prairie businesses, and plenty of Pleasant Prairie swag, too.

“Driving around and looking at holiday lights is a tradition for so many people” Howard said. “We hope to up the stakes through this contest to really showcase the festive spirit of our community this season.”

Only Pleasant Prairie residents are eligible to enter the contest. One entry is allowed per property. For questions, please contact Sarah Howard at 262-771-1079 or Sarah@VisitPleasantPrairie.com.
