Safe Harbor/Kenosha.com Pet of the Week: Sapphire (aka Garnet)

Sapphire (aka Garnet) is a super sweet almost 4-year-old dog. She has been at the shelter since July 26 and has received little interest. Even though she needs to be the only pet, she is one of the best behaved dogs in the shelter.

She is calm when you need her to be and ready for an adventure the moment you say “outside.” She LOVES to play and practice her tricks with her shelter friends. She is nervous when you first meet her, so going slow is beneficial. She will need further training when adopted, but she has already learned so much while in our care.

Sapphire is also a “Rettungs-Hause Scholarship Recipient!” This means that she has been selected for an after-adoption tutoring program with the RHS team, where she will receive one spa day, a one-on-one evaluation, and either a six-week group session or one private session for training.

She is available for adoption with an adoption fee of $299 plus tax and has a refundable training deposit of $50. The training deposit is to ensure a smooth transition into her new home. If you would like to meet her, please fill out an application online HERE or stop by the Safe Harbor Humane Society, 7811 60th Ave, to visit her in person.
