More Than Money Series: Financial Services – Care for Your Cash, 6-8 p.m., Urban League of Kenosha/Racine, 1418 68th St. In this session, Students will gain an understanding of how checking accounts are used to handle business transactions. Students will learn to examine a variety of banking and shopping tools used to carry out personal business transactions. Students will learn to explore strategies to protect personal account information. Students will learn about services provided by various financial institutions. In conjunction with Kenosha Public Library. Registration required.

Bring in a current art project, whether it’s a painting, drawing, mixed media, poetry, or lyrics for a song and work on it with us! Get to know fellow artists, get motivated to work on a project, and have some snacks. An existing project isn’t necessary, art supplies, stuff to make collages, and painting/drawing supplies will be available to start a new project. Open to the public and free to attend.

Pollination Investigation, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Kenosha Public Museum, 5500 1st Ave. Explore the essential role that pollinators play in the natural world. Nearly 90% of flowering plants rely on about 200,000 species of animal pollinators for fertilization. Through pollinator profiles, learn about different pollinators — from butterflies and hummingbirds to bats and the wind — and their favorite flowers based on floral characteristics like flower shape, color, scent and more. Through March 5.
Wild Ones – Native Plants and Natural Landscapes, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Kenosha Public Museum, 5500 1st Ave. Photos by youth, adults, and professionals from around the country show Native species in their natural environments, from urban backyards to the American wilderness.

Join in to learn more, make a guitar, and have a homemade instrument jam session. Registration required. For families with children of all ages.
Preschool Storytime, 10-10:30 p.m., Northside Library 1500 27th Ave. Designed for three to five-year-old children. Children enjoy 30 minutes of books, songs, fingerplays, and more during this classic storytime.
Nature Story Time, 9:30 a.m., Pringle Nature Center at Bristol Woods, Enjoy a seasonal nature story and craft. The program is for young children accompanied by an adult and will take place inside the nature center building. Recommended for children ages 2-5. (Program repeats Saturday, Feb. 18). Free, no registration required.
Ice Skating, 10 a.m.-10 p.m. (weather permitting), Veterans Memorial Park, 5220 6th Ave., adjacent to City Hall. Free. Bring your own skates or check out free ice skates sponsored by the Mayor’s Youth Commission during posted rental hours. Ice skates are available on a first-come-first-served basis at the Skate Hut outside the ice rink during rental hours. Regular rental hours are: 4-9 p.m. Mondays through Fridays; 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturdays, and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sundays. Hours may be different on holiday weekends. Child and adult sizes are available for check-out with a photo ID, such as a valid driver’s license or a valid school-issued ID.

Baby and Me Yoga, 10:30-11:15 a.m., Northside Library, 1500 27th Ave. Stretch, sing, and play while connecting emotionally and physically with your baby. Participants will practice interactive beginner yoga poses, mindful breathing, and infant massage. Class will be led by a KPL Youth Services staff person who is a certified yoga instructor. Stuffed Animal Sleepover, 3:30-4:30 p.m. What happens in a bookstore after the doors have closed and the customers have left for the night? Kids can bring a favorite stuffed friend to Blue House Books for a special after-hours adventure, starting with a pajama party and story time and activity with storyteller, Lisa from TravelingTrunk. Following story time, kids tuck their stuffed animal friend for a sleepover at the bookstore! Pick up stuffed animal friends on Sunday (Feb. 19) between 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. and hear about all the shenanigans that they got into.
