KTEC to honor Gateway Technical College with the 2023 Distinguished Partner Award

Gateway Technical College will be presented with KTEC’s 2023 Distinguished Partner Award at the annual KTEC Gala on Saturday, March 25 for their outstanding dedication to education and support of KTEC.

The Distinguished Partner award is a tradition at KTEC’s Gala. It recognizes community partners who have invested their time, resources, and expertise to provide KTEC students with hands-on, real-world experiences. Past winners include Snap-on Incorporated, FESTO Didactic, and National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3).

Gateway’s partnership not only assists our school but also helps build a pipeline of technical workers that meet the needs of industry. Gateway’s faculty have shared their extensive knowledge and specialized equipment to prepare KTEC students and staff. Gateway continues to play an integral part in the growth of KTEC.

“It is my pleasure, on behalf of the National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3), to congratulate Gateway Technical College as the KTEC Distinguished Partner for this year,” said Lisa Marshall, FESTO Program Manager, NC3. “The three-way collaboration between KTEC, Gateway, and NC3 for Introduction to Mechatronics has been an amazing opportunity for students to experience how principles of manufacturing work using real world equipment. Gateway’s support of the KTEC Programs through the Fab Lab are unprecedented and have led to this incredible honor.”

KTEC Principal Dr. Angela Andersson added: “The partnership between Gateway and KTEC is critical to both student and staff growth. Together students of all ages are exposed to foundational technical skills and build a belief of a future in higher education through working with Gateway staff and visiting the college’s campuses. I am excited to see how KTEC and Gateway will expand our partnership in the future.”
