Safe Harbor/Kenosha.com Pet of the Week: Wilbur

Wilbur is one of the coolest dogs you will ever meet.

Four years old, Wilbur is such a great, large dog, although he doesn’t realize how big he is! He loves people with his entire body by leaning against them for pets and cuddles. At a whopping 85 pounds, he is sure to topple any small child over by mistake, so we feel he needs to go to a home with older kids, just in case.

He may also be too much for dogs under 45 pounds, so we are suggesting medium-plus sized dogs for future playmates. He LOVES to play tug and catch … and might also think he is a cat with the way he pounces on his toys. He only knows two tricks — sit and shake — but he is a pro at them.

This goliath is available for adoption. His adoption fee is $299 plus tax, but with Safe Harbor’s “Change Their Luck Adoption Incentive,” his adoption fee is 50% off, making it only $149.50. If you would like to meet him, please fill out an application online HERE or stop by the Safe Harbor Humane Society, 7811 60th Ave.
