Sweet and loving dog is looking for a new home

By SAFE HARBOR HUMANE SOCIETY

Safe Harbor Humane Society is an open admission shelter and a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that serves the Kenosha County area. Safe Harbor takes in over 3,300 animals each year and places the majority of these animals into good homes.

Zero is a very sweet and loving large dog waiting for her forever home without any children.

Upon initial arrival at Safe Harbor, she did not have many leash manners, she was very shy with new people, and she was underweight. With lots of love and practice with staff, she has been doing so much better! She walks better on a leash, though she is still learning. Because of this, we will require her to go to a home without kids.

We discovered that she has a sensitive stomach. With the addition of a prescription diet of Purina HA and some extra snacks, she has gained weight. She is also more confident than she was while in our care originally, too. We are very proud of all of her growth in our care. She knows only one trick: jumping high for a treat, but she refused to do it while on camera.

Zero’s adoption fee is currently 50% off with our “Spring Them Out Adoption Incentive,” making her adoption fee $149.50. If you would like to meet her, please fill out an application online HERE or stop by the Safe Harbor Humane Society, 7811 60th Ave.
