Kenosha Unified School District is partnering again with Riley Construction, Martin Petersen Company, and Pieper Electric to offer the Building Trade Careers Summer Camp. The camp runs July 24-27, from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., and is open to KUSD students who will be in grades 7, 8, or 9 during the 2023-2024 school year. Each day we meet at the Educational Support Center (3600 52nd St.) and take a bus to the different local employers where the students learn hands-on about all of the different careers in the architecture and construction industry. There is no cost.
Students will experience:
- Four days of hands-on demonstrations and presentations
- Exposure to careers in the construction industry
- Learning side-by-side with local building trade employees
- Visiting a local construction project to see learning in action
