JASON CALLEWAERT NAMED 2024 COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD WINNER

Each year, Community State Bank (CSB) presents the Frank Lamping Community Service Award to a deserving member of the Union Grove community. Named after Frank Lamping, a long-time resident and community advocate, this award honors individuals who demonstrate positivity, selflessness, leadership, and inspire others to give back.

CSB is excited to announce that Jason Callewaert has been selected as the 2024 Frank Lamping Community Service Award recipient. As part of the award, Callewaert will receive $1,000 from CSB to donate to a local non-profit or service organization of his choice.

“We’re thrilled to award Jason Callewaert the 2024 Frank Lamping Community Service Award,” said CSB Market President Dave Moyer. “His dedication and hard work have had a significant impact on our community. Jason truly embodies the spirit of giving back, and we’re proud to honor his outstanding contributions.”

Our goal is to make our community better and to inspire the next generation of leaders. Even small acts of kindness can have a big impact, and we should set examples for our kids by showing them how meaningful these gestures can be. Jason Callewaert – 2024 Frank Lamping Community Service Award Winner

Callewaert has been a key figure in the Union Grove Kiwanis Club, the Go Frank Go Foundation—which inspires local students, community members, and business leaders—and the student leadership organization at Union Grove High School (SALT). He is also a founding member of “Tee it up Fore Ty,” a non-profit that supports local families with children facing serious health conditions. Over the past 17 years, “Tee it up Fore Ty” has raised nearly $600,000, supported many local families, and granted almost 40 “Make-A-Wish” requests.

“I’m honored to receive this award,” Callewaert said. “Our goal is to make our communities better and to inspire the next generation of leaders. Even small acts of kindness can have a big impact, and we should set examples for our kids by showing them how meaningful these gestures can be.”

CSB will host an award celebration on Thursday, September 26th, 2024, at their Union Grove location (1500 Main Street). The outdoor event will run from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, with the award presentation starting at 6:00 PM. Food and beverages will be provided, and the public is invited to attend.

The Frank Lamping Community Service Award is selected by a committee of local community leaders. This year’s committee included: Jeff Kieslich of Ruma Sports; Gerry Hancock, 2023 Award Winner; Steve Kuranz of Oak Ridge Care Center; Beth Maier of Union Grove Lumber; Bobby Katterhagen of Bob’s Mobil; and David Pettit of Union Grove High School.
