This year’s organized ride will follow the same route as last year, beginning at Kemper Center, 6501 Third Ave., and sending riders along the lakefront and then west to Petrifying Springs Park. Riders will take off at Kemper Center at 9 a.m. The Kenosha/Racine Bike Club will lead the ride, and Kenosha County Sheriff’s deputies will bike alongside riders to and from Petrifying Springs. At the Petrifying Springs Biergarten following the ride, food and non-alcoholic refreshments will be provided, courtesy of Kenosha County Parks in collaboration with the Biergarten.
“The Fall Wheel Ride has become a tradition in Kenosha County, and it’s a terrific opportunity to enjoy some of our beautiful parks and trails as the fall colors begin to pop,” Kerkman said. This will be the second year that riders will follow this scenic route, which is 7.8 miles each way, following the Lake Michigan shoreline on paved pathways wherever possible and offering many scenic views.
The event flyer and route can be found at https://bit.ly/2024FallWheelRide. No registration is necessary.
