Kenosha WI, (February 12, 2025) Youth in Governance (YIG) is hosting a pasta dinner fundraiser and raffle in partnership with the Shalom Center. The event is scheduled from 3:30pm to 6pm on Saturday February 22nd. All proceeds benefit Shalom Center food and shelter programs. The fundraiser will take place at Shalom Center, 4314 39th Avenue in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Please enter through Door Number 4.
A pasta dinner and raffle will highlight the event, along with prizes and fun. “We are excited topartner with the Kenosha County Youth In Governance. We are proud of this group of high school students and their drive and determination to help raise money for our neighbors in need,” stated Esther Roberts, incoming Shalom Center Interim Director.
The primary goal of Kenosha County Youth in Governance is to bring the youth voice to community issues and concerns while fostering the development of confident, collaborative, and motivated youth leaders. “This Pasta Dinner Fundraiser is a perfect opportunity for the community to show its support to both Shalom Center and our Youth in Governance leaders,” noted Camille Carlson, Positive Youth Development Educator with UW-Madison Extension—Kenosha County.
Tickets are $20 each and include a delicious pasta dinner and one free raffle ticket. Take out dinners will also be available. Pre-ordering your dinner is highly recommended due to limited meals. To learn more and purchase tickets, visit Shalom Center website at https://www.shalomcenter.org/
