Leslie Cowen, 67, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, Sunday, July 11, 2021, after a long illness, with her loved ones by her side.
She was born on September 14, 1953 to the late Earl and Virginia (Lewis) Cowen. She was educated in Kenosha and graduated from Tremper High School. She attended UW LaCrosse, where she was a member of the women’s swim team.
Leslie married Ronald Clark and had three sons. They later divorced.
Leslie enjoyed mastering classical piano pieces, especially Mozart and Beethoven.
She loved movies, listening to classic rock, and country music. The thrill of a good bargain brought her to rummage sales and thrift stores throughout her years. Leslie looked forward to long weekend getaways whether to a Packer game, or out of town hotel stays, with her best friend, and love, Larry. Above everything, Leslie loved being a mom and grandma, ever so proud of her boys and grandchildren.
Leslie is survived by her loving companion of 31 years Larry Chaput, her sons Ronald Clark Jr., Jim Clark and Tony Clark, her grandchildren Chuck Clark, Anna Clark, Erica Ynocencio, Katelynn Clark, Hayden Clark, Gianna Clark and Desmond Clark and her siblings Frank Cash, Jane Pafundi, Ellen Robbins and Peggy Wagner.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Virginia Cowen, a grandson Evan Clark and a granddaughter Mary Ynocencio.
Funeral Services for Leslie will be held on Friday, July 16th at 12:30 p.m. at the Kemper Center (6501 – 3rd Ave.). Interment will follow at St. George Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
