On Saturday, July 10, 2021, Bob passed away at Brookside Care Center in Kenosha. Bob was born in Kenosha to the late Walter and Amanda (Tiemann) Nevoraski on November 29, 1936. He was the oldest of 7 children, 6 of whom survive him, Jeanette (Mike Barnett) of Texas, Marlene (the late Dick Torcaso) of Wausau, Leon (Judith Hertel) of Kenosha, Vernon (Kristi) of Florida, Linda (the late Jerry Hoeke) and Loreen (Robert Schnaare), both of Kenosha. He’s further survived by many nephews and nieces and special friends, Scott and Tammy Wisnefski.
Bob, known as “Jocko” to many, was employed as an over the road truck driver for his entire adult life for Outboard Marine, also known as Johnson Motors in Waukegan.
Bob never married but the one thing he enjoyed in life was Nascar Auto Racing, making Richard Petty his favorite driver. When it came time to go to the race in Alabama, he would load his rig and leave a couple days early so he could attend the race and make his delivery the next day in Georgia.
Bob loved to travel and made a few trips to places he fell in love with- naming New Zealand, Australia, Austria and Alaska.
In his early years he built his home in Bristol. He decided to celebrate on every Sunday before Memorial Day and Labor Day inviting anyone and everyone for a picnic. In due time he had a fellow come and play music so we could all dance, sing and party.
Bob was very generous to and made many trips to Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee to spend time with the “kids”.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, a nephew, Ryan Schnaare and many friends.
As per his wishes, he will be cremated and a celebration of his life will be held at a later time. Memorials may be made to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin Foundation: MS 3050 P.O. Box 1997 Milwaukee, WI 53201 or www.giving.childrenswi.org.
