Donald Elmer Thompson, Jr., 68 years old of Daggett, MI, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin, Wauwatosa, WI.
He was born May 23, 1953, in Michgan, the son of Donald and Alma (Patton) Thompson, Sr. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp. On June 05, 1999, he married Charlotte Krause (Kalinowski) and they lived in Kenosha, WI and Pleasant Prairie, WI for many years, before settling in Michigan three years ago.
Don was an avid hunter and fisherman; he loved being outdoors. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte and his stepchildren, Eric (Adriana) Krause of Lindenhurst, IL, Aaron (Tabitha) Krause of Kenosha, WI and Tanna (Ray) Meyers of Pleasant Prairie, WI; his mother, Alma Thompson; siblings, Michael Thompson, Taryn Dickson, Eric (Brenda) Thompson; five grandchildren, Grace, Shane, Samantha, Kayla, and Ben; and several nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by his father, Donald E. Thompson, Sr. and sister Cheryl Jeziorowski.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at Proko Funeral Home. Services will commence at 6:00 p.m.
