Cynthia Grissom, 86, of Kenosha passed away on September 26, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Cynthia was born on November 21, 1934 in Kenosha, the daughter of the late John and Rose (Morzejka) Soule. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha. Cynthia married V. Leon Grissom on September 27, 1957 in Waukegan, IL. Cynthia was employed at the Kenosha County Aging & Disability Center for many years. Her hobbies included reading, gardening, traveling, taking care of her horses, snow birding at her house in Key West, bowling & golfing and the horse track in her younger years, collecting Egyptian figurines, but most of all spending time with family & friends.
Survivors include her children, Kevin (Collette) Grissom of Trevor, Kelly (Roger) Kotleski of Kenosha, Kathleen Grissom of Kenosha, Kent (Sheila) Grissom of Kenosha; sister, Debbie (Liz) Soule of Chicago; grandchildren, Adam & Johnny Grissom, Alysa (Alex Socha) Kotleski, Ian and Katie Thrasher, Hannah Kiss; and a great granddaughter, Adalynn, and her lifelong friends Sheila Shema and Peggy Strini, and her beloved pet Lil One. Cynthia was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Grissom, sister Elaine, brother James, and her good friend and nephew James Grissom.
A visitation will be held on Friday October 1, 2021 at Kenosha Funeral Services from 11:00AM-12:00 Noon, with funeral services to follow at 12:00 Noon. Masks are required. Burial Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers at Hospice Alliance and her other caregivers, Cindy, Tammy, Tina, and her niece Michele (aka Shelly) for all the love and support they provided.
