Cynthia Mae Leatherman, 72, of Kenosha, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Froedtert South – Kenosha.
Born in Chicago, IL, on December 8, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Ellen Blanford and William T. Cook.
Cynthia was proud of her Cherokee heritage and enjoyed dancing in pow-wows, doing ornate regalia beadwork, and making jewelry. She also loved dancing to country music, gardening, taking the kids fishing, her animals, and loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her six children, Edward Tabor, Jonathan Tabor, Kathleen Pennell, Candace McManaman, Tina (Paul Nelson) Tabor, and Bonnie (Mark) Nelson; 12 grandchildren, Andrew, Dakota, Maleiq, Marshay, Christopher, Nicholas, Alexis, Ariel, Angelina, Makayla, Tyler, and Blake; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, William H. (Laura) Cook, Sr.; two brothers-in-law, Steve Causey and Phil Brooke; her “extended children”; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Brooke and Debbie Causey; son-in-law, Timothy McManaman; and grandson, Craig “CJ” McManaman.
