Sharon Kay Nelson, 69, of Kenosha, WI, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Aurora Medical Center.
Born on November 1, 1952, in Bangor, Maine; she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Joan (Marescalco) VanWie. She grew up in Racine, WI, later moved to Kenosha, WI then West Allis, WI she relocated back to Kenosha this past summer.
Sharon was employed for many years as an estimator for the lumber and building industry. After her retirement, she worked as a sample lady at Costco until the pandemic started.
She loved reading and sitting on the beach listening to the waves.
Sharon is survived by her loving daughter, Nicki (Mike) Klinesmith of Kenosha, WI; granddaughter, Emma Klinesmith; and three siblings, Sue VanWie, Mark VanWie, and Sandi Anderson. She is further survived by other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Tom VanWie.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Aurora Medical Center and Advocate Aurora Hospice. The care and compassion that Sharon received in her three months stay will always be remembered.
A memorial service will be celebrated in Spring of 2022.
