Isaac Angelo Melendez, passed away suddenly on November 26, 2021, at the age of 52.
He was born on April 10, 1969, in Waukegan, IL to Carmen Melendez. Isaac was a graduate of Reuther Central High School in Kenosha, WI and received several certifications from the College of Lake County, Grayslake, IL which allowed him to excel in his Building Maintenance career. He was a problem solver who loved his tools and would eagerly take on difficult and unwanted projects at work and around the house and fix the unfixable.
Isaac was an avid pool player and competed locally. He took pride in his gun collection, loved pressing his own bullets and teaching his family how to shoot. Isaac was a fun-loving individual, who always put family and friends first and could be counted on whenever called. He enjoyed entertaining, cooking out and making others laugh. He was a devoted husband, son, father and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Isaac is survived by his mother Carmen Melendez; his wife, Hope Melendez; his children, Jose Ortiz, David Ortiz, Miana Melendez and Olivia Melendez; his grandchildren, Tatianna Ortiz, Janessa Ortiz, Jordan Ortiz, Jose Ortiz Jr., Trinity Ortiz and Amaris Ortiz, as well as a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother Anna Melendez, aunt Martha Melendez, uncle Angelo Melendez, uncle Eladio Melendez and uncle Isaac Melendez.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Proko Funeral Home with services commencing at 1:00 p.m.
