Sherry Van Patten of Pleasant Prairie passed away peacefully in her home on February 6, 2022.
Sherry was born on May 18, 1967 in Chicago to Joseph and Louise (Pauhl) Van Patten. She was educated at Saint Jogues Catholic School in Morton Grove and Maine East High School in Park Ridge, IL. Sherry was a gifted massage therapist and her many clients will greatly miss her “healing hands”. Sherry was the oldest of eight children, the mother to one wonderful son, and the aunt to 17 nieces and nephews, who adored her. Sherry delighted in doting on her nieces and nephews, her bully breeds, and always being there for her countless friends. Sherry definitely left an impression on anyone she met. Her life force will be greatly missed by us all.
Sherry was known for many things: A great friend, the best Healer, wonderful sister, Beloved daughter, but most of all The BEST mother you could have ever asked for. Her legacy will never be forgotten as she lives on through all the people she has touched.
Sherry is survived by her loving son, Dakotah (Anel Cardenas) Van Patten of Third Lake, IL; mother, Louise Van Patten of Marion, IL; brothers: Brian and Shane Van Patten of IL; sisters: Tracy (David) Gold of Hawthorn Woods, IL, Michele (Rafael) Muzones of Lindenhurst, IL, Denise (Daniel) Ruschli of Zion, IL, Kelly (Edmund) Petray of Grayslake, IL, Shannon Van Patten of Gurnee, IL. Sherry’s nieces are Olivia, Taylor, Samantha, Danielle, Kailey, Gisele, Mackenzie, Brooklynne, and Chloe. Nephews are Parker, Max, Hunter, Raymund, Jack, Ryan, Myles, and Luke.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
