Thomas “Tom” J. Laba, 76, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, Monday, February 14, 2022 at Froedtert South St. Catherine’s Medical Center.
He was born on June 12, 1945 to the late Joseph F. and Mary Ann (Jakubowicz) Laba in Kenosha. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School.
On June 18, 1966 he married Ellen I. Nichols at First Christian Church. She preceded him in death on November 1, 2020.
Tom worked in tool repair at Snap-on-Tools for 50 years.
Tom was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #286 and a member of the Snap-On Rec Club.
Tom was a Packers fan. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Tom is survived by his son Todd (Debra Valetti) Laba, his grandchildren Adam (Samantha) Armstrong, Joseph Laba and Steven Laba, his great grandchildren Andrew, Scarlett, Melody and Ryker, his siblings Joan Zavasky, Joseph (Char) Laba, Judy (Steve) Reuter, Richard (Karen Strangberg) Laba and William Laba, his brother-in-law John (Peggy Thomas) Nichols and a sister-in-law Carol Nichols.
He is preceded in death by a brother-in-law Joseph Zavasky.
Funeral Services for Tom will be held on Saturday, February 19th at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) at the Bruch-Hansen Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. The family would like everyone to wear a mask.
