Alex B. Bonogofsky, 85, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family Saturday, October 15, 2022 at his residence.
He was born on November 27, 1936 to the late Jacob and Agnes (Brown) Bonogofsky in Bismarck, ND. He was educated in the schools of Bismarck.
Alex entered the US Army on April 10, 1957 and was honorably discharged on April 9, 1963.
Alex was the President of Top Form in Wonder Lake, IL for many years.
On March 17, 1972 he married Sheryl Peters in Kenosha. She preceded him in death on March 10, 2017.
Alex attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Alex enjoyed gardening, carpentry and was a Packers and Brewers fan.
Alex is survived by his children Kim (Roy) Morgan, Brian (Janice) Bonogofsky, Jodi Bonogofsky, Rob (Christina) Bonogofsky and Jeff (Kate) Bonogofsky, his grandchildren Jess Luttrell, Amber Suratte, Robert Cook, AJ Bonogofsky, Jessie Bonogofsky and Mila Bonogofsky, many great grandchildren and his sisters Rosemary Gartner, Sarah (Richard) Welsh and Bonnie Javernick.
He is preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Alex will be held on Saturday, October 22nd at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church (corner of 73rd St. and 39th Ave.). Full Military Honors will follow. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
