Madonna Deacy Fishback, age 86, of Twin Lakes, WI, passed away in the comfort of her home on Tuesday, November 1, 2022. Daughter of the late Anthony Deacy Sr. and Margaret A. Rowley, Madonna was born on December 9, 1935, in Chicago, IL. On October 4, 1958, Madonna was united in marriage with Philip M. Fishback in Chicago. He preceded her in death on February 27, 2012. During her life, Madonna was an elementary school teacher, and after retirement she worked as a substitute teacher in area grade schools. She was also very active in her community—a member of the Twin Lakes Businessman’s Association, the Twin Lakes Chamber of Commerce, and the Twin Lakes Welcome Wagon. She also put together art shows for the community and was a devoted member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Twin Lakes where she served as a eucharist minister, providing communion to homebound parishioners. In her free time, she enjoyed sailing and planting vegetables in her garden.
Madonna is survived by her daughters, Therese Welsch and Maggie (Wayne) Borowski; grandchildren, Bradley, Sarah, Kristopher, and Emily; great-grandson, Kellan; and sister, Margie Ryan. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her siblings, Mary Lou Dolmetsch, Jerome Deacy, Tony Deacy, and Patrick Deacy.
In keeping with Madonna’s wishes, no funeral service will be held. Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory of Twin Lakes is honored to assist the Fishback family.
