John W. “JT” Tyler, 65, died Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital in Pleasant Prairie, WI.
Born May 7, 1957, in Muncie, Indiana, he was the son of the late Thomas and Mary (Broyles) Tyler.
JT, a lifelong resident of Kenosha, loved music and was self-taught musician playing the guitar and drums. He loved basketball, and took great pride in being able shoot 3 pointers well into his 60’s.
He was employed at Ocean Spray for a few years and was currently self-employed.
JT never met a stranger and helped anyone in need always making people laugh and being the life the party.
He was a Christian who believed in GOD and held his Faith close to his heart.
He is survived by his daughter, Natasha (Alvin) Oliver of Kenosha; two sisters, Audrey (Herbert) Westmoreland of Houston, TX and Adrienne Tyler of Corpus Christi, TX; one brother, Thomas (Mary) Tyler III of Columbia, TN; aunt, Alma Cole of North Chicago, IL; uncle and aunt, Charles (Juanita) Tyler of Racine, WI; He is further survived by seven grandchildren. He shared a special bond with the Chapman, McCoy, Esters, King and Ingram families and host of cousins, family members and friends too many to mention.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, David Logan.
Visitation for JT will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, January 16, 2023, at Proko Funeral Home.
