Jane Sandberg, 75, of Kenosha, WI passed away peacefully on Thursday February 23, 2023 at Aurora Hospital & Medical Center.
Jane was born on May 13, 1947 in KS, the only child of the late Howard and Ruth (Gibson) Sandberg. Excelling in school, Jane received her early education in Great Bend Kansas, Lincoln Nebraska and Lindsborg Kansas. After finishing her early education, Jane returned to Wisconsin for high school, Jane enrolled in Kenosha then Lake Geneva graduating from Badger High School class of 1965. Immediately going to college, our dear friend graduated from Luther College in 1969 with an education degree. During her time at Luther, Jane sang with the choir allowing her to praise Jesus and even travel the world. She made lifelong friends at Luther including her beloved mentor and professor Weston Noble whom she cherished and kept in contact with throughout life. After Luther, Jane continued her education, earning computer science and a graduate degree at UW Parkside and Cardinal Stritch.
Employed for many years as a gifted educator, Jane touched the lives of several children especially during her assignments out East working with special needs children. Students, professors, colleagues, The Sisters of the Resurrection, friends, and family were touched by the care Jane give. The wisdom, advice, stories, and prayers received by our dear Jane could occupy you for hours and always put peace in your heart. As a true empath and worker of the greater good, truly everyone who came in contact with Jane was impacted by her bright spirit and giving heart. Jane was well traveled, and her favorite adventures throughout the years were with her two very best friends Patricia and Maryanne. Other hobbies were singing, reading, dining out with friends, and daily devotionals with her lord and savior.
