Martha (Misczenko) Skoczylas, age 86, of Twin Lakes, WI, died on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn, WI. Daughter of the late John and Ann Misczenko, Martha was born on October 10, 1936 in the Ukraine. She came to the United States at the age of 13. She attended Tuley Tech High School in Chicago, IL. On February 19, 1955, she was united in marriage to Michael Skoczylas in Chicago. The couple lived in Pell Lake, WI before moving to Twin Lakes in 1993. Martha was a homemaker, wife, and mother. Martha enjoyed spending time with her grandsons and caring for them when they were young, and in her free time, she loved dancing with her husband.
Martha is survived by her son, Danny Skoczylas; daughter, Daria Schiltz; grandsons, Uri and Alec Schiltz; and sister, Ann Kalpsch. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Michael; her parents; and her brother, William Misczenko.
A Catholic funeral service will be held at 7:00PM on Friday, March 10, 2023 at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home, 620 Legion Drive, Twin Lakes, WI 53181. Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Friday from 6:00PM until 9:00PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 11:00AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Cemetery.
