Helen P. Redmond, age 93, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2023 at The Waters of Oak Creek surrounded by her family.
Born on March 21, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Lydia (Zahon) Hrupka. She was raised on a farm in Bristol, WI, attended local schools and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School.
On January 27, 1951, she was united in marriage to James E. Redmond at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kenosha, where they were both members. Together they operated a dairy farm in Bristol, WI.
Helen was involved with Women of St. John’s, the Retired Senior Volunteer Program, and the Kenosha County Home Community Education. In addition, she was a Boy Scout, Girl Scout, and 4-H Leader. In her spare time, Helen loved being involved in the walking club, knitting, cross-stitching, and spending time with family and friends. She was an active member of Lakeside (St. John’s) Lutheran Church.
She was many things to many people, a daughter, loving wife and mother, a supportive sister and aunt, caring grandmother and great grandmother, a dear friend and kind neighbor. Helen is survived by her children, James P. Redmond, Kenneth (Andrea) Redmond, and Deborah Kislia; her eight grandchildren; her six great grandchildren, and her sister-in-law Alice Hrupka.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, James E. Redmond, her sisters, Lydia (Robert) Breul and Marguerite (Gerald) Chovan and her brother, Paul Hrupka.

SERVICE LOCATION: Piasecki Funeral Home
Funeral services honoring life Helen’s will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 21, 2023 at the Piasecki Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave, Kenosha, WI.
Interment will follow in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
A visitation for Helen will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023 from 8:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
