Justine M. Rizzo, age 58 a resident of Kenosha, died Tuesday October 24th, 2023, at the Hospice Alliance Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie.
Born on January 22nd 1965 in Kenosha she was the daughter of James Schneider and the late Colleen (Addison) Schneider.
She was educated in the schools of Kenosha.
On February 14th, 1987, she married Frank Rizzo at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Kenosha. Surrounded by friends and family, the couple celebrated the start of their life. Together, they raised three children; one son and two daughters.
In the early years, Justine spent her days taking care of her children at home and a number of nieces and nephews. After the children grew older, she worked as a housekeeper employed by Carthage College as well as Brookside Care Center.
She enjoyed cooking for her family, crocheting and tinkering in the garden. She would often recruit family members to make homemade raviolis, everyone’s favorite. She was keen on finding the best deals in town and gift giving. She was always thinking of others. Justine enjoyed attending sporting events for her children and other family members. Most summer days, you would find her outside floating in the pool. She loved going camping and spending time on the pontoon. Justine was an avid reader and enjoyed her nightly tv shows, Wheel of Fortune, the Voice and American Idol. The most important thing to Justine was her family. She ensured that every child who crossed her threshold was safe, healthy, and happy. Everyone knew you could count on Auntie Geno to be there.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Frank Rizzo of Kenosha; her father, James Schneider; son, Aaron (Kendra) Rizzo; daughters, Brittany (Robert) Mantooth and Caitlyn Rizzo; two grandchildren, Royce Rizzo and Walker Rizzo, all of Kenosha. She is further survived by six brothers, Steven (Chris), Jeff, Robert (Jean Morgan), Bruce, Greg, Randy (Lori); and three sisters, Debra (Mark) Schneider, Pamela (Andy) Burger and Diana (Larry) Hartung. Family gatherings were a big deal as there are 31 nieces and nephews and 50 great nieces and nephews. Justine (Auntie Geno) babysat most of them.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Colleen Schneider.
