Shirley M. Faltinowski, age 87, of Kenosha, WI passed away on November 25, 2023, at Brookside Care Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Ironwood, MI, on August 26, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Marjorie (Carr) LaRock. She graduated High School from Marenisco, MI. She first met her husband Wallace at a dance after a high school basketball game and the rest was history. After getting married in Chicago, IL on June 15, 1963, they eventually put down roots in Kenosha, WI.
Shirley worked at St. Catherines Hospital in the Payroll and Accounting Department and later retired from Dairyland Greyhound Park as a Party with the Puppies Event Coordinator in 1998. Shirley loved to garden and grow flowers and vegetables, strike up new conversations with everyone, but most of all she loved to spend time with her family. Shirley and Wally loved to camp with family and friends up in Portage, WI, and upper Michigan.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Wally; children, Janet (Christopher) Paul, and Michael (Annette) Faltinowski; siblings, Patrick (Karen) LaRock, and Darlene “Biddy” Weisinger; grandchildren, Tina (James) Warner, Riley and Nicholas Faltinowski, Megan Kramer, Brandon (Nicole) Paul, Ashley Paul, Heather (William) Phillips; and great grandchildren, Amelia “Millie” and James “MJ” Warner, Brogan and Mavis McCullough, Oaklyn, Cora and Juniper Phillips, McKenna Rieman, Parker and Levi Paul; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Kenneth “Jack” LaRock, Donald “Don” LaRock, Myron “Muff” LaRock
A private graveside service will be held for Shirley at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
