Robert J. Anderson, 97 years old of Kenosha, WI passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Aurora Medical Center, Kenosha, WI.
He was born May 12, 1926, in Racine, WI, the son of the late Louis and Rose (Schram) Anderson. Robert was united in marriage on February 3, 1951, to the love of his life Louise Nelson and enjoyed every moment they had before her passing in 2009.
Robert served his country by joining the Army from 1944 to 1946. Before his retirement in 1988 he works as a Tool & Die Maker at Sterling Tool, Racine, WI. He enjoyed puzzles and would almost never turn down playing cards, but being a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan, he never let anything interrupt the games and he loved being surrounded by the atmosphere watching the games with family created.
Robert is survived by his children, Jan (Susan) Anderson, San Jose, CA, Joseph (Cathy) Anderson, Kenosha, WI, Peggy Rogers, Wauwatosa, WI, Barb (Jeff) Roedema, Racine, WI; he is also survived by his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren; and son-in-law Jeff Roedema.
In addition to Louise and his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his daughter Barb Roedema and siblings Les Anderson, Louis Anderson, Dorothy Conforti and Helen Davis.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, on Saturday December 16, 2023, at Proko Funeral Home with an Interment on May 11, 2024 at South Bristol Cemetery.
