Iolanda Sorrentino, 83 years old of Kenosha, WI passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024, peacefully at Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
She was born April 9, 1940, in Marano Principato, Italy, the daughter of the late Serafino and Maria (Filippelli) Bosco. On October 1, 1961, she married Mario Sorrentino in Marano Principato, Italy. They had two children, Peter & Robert, before settling in Kenosha, WI in 1969.
Iolanda was a wonderful mother and homemaker; she enjoyed cooking, cleaning, and baking, especially chocolate cake. She cherished the time spent with her family and loved hosting Saturday dinners. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a special place in her heart.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Mario; sons, Peter (Tina) Sorrentino and Robert (Cecilia) Sorrentino; brother, Aldo (Connie) Bosco; grandchildren, Mario (Lauren), Gabriella, and Gianfranco; great-grandchildren, Sophia and Isabella; and sister-in-law, Irma Bosco. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Iolanda was preceded in death by her siblings, Ada (Ignazio) DeBartolo and Francesco Bosco; and mother-in-law, Gilda Sorrentino.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Proko Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 1919 54th Street Kenosha, WI 53140. Entombment will immediately follow at All Saints Mausoleum in Pleasant Prairie, WI.
