Jeffrey “Jeff” Todd Mero, 55, was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin on April 6, 1968. He grew up in the Kenosha area and went on to work in a variety of skilled trades jobs over the years as a union member, including carpentry, masonry, boiler making, and construction. One of his most memorable experiences was working on an Alaskan fishing boat in his 20s. He took great pride in that adventure and loved retelling stories about his time on the high seas, even crossing paths with some of the crew featured on the TV show Deadliest Catch. He was a true jack-of-all-trades with a wide range of interests and talents.
He leaves behind his lifelong friend Julie, their one and only child Jordan “JJ” Mero (fiancé Marisa), sister Terri Engels (Michael), niece Samantha Cooper (Thaddeus), niece Addelyn, nephew Oliver, and the newest addition to the family, his pup Daisy Mae. He was preceded in death by his parents, both sets of grandparents, his older brother, and his faithful companion Sophie Lynn who never left his side.
Private memorial services are being held.
