Lorraine F. Baum passed on from this world on February 16, 2024.
She was born in Kenosha, WI on July 8, 1931 to parents, Edward and Susan Bern. She was united in marriage with Roger P. Baum on May 26, 1951 at St. George Church. They enjoyed 64 years of marriage until Roger’s passing in January 2016.
She graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School in 1949. Not long after her graduation and marriage, she and Roger made the big move to southern California where they built their American dream and raised a family. She enjoyed a successful career in the finance department for the city of Garden Grove, CA until her retirement in 1986. She and Roger then returned to her hometown of Kenosha. During her time back in Kenosha, Lorraine loved gardening, bowling, and spending lots of quality time with her grandchildren. Then in 2002, she and Roger entered a new phase of retirement moving to the warmth of Tucson, AZ. After many fun trips and making new friends, Lorraine moved back to Kenosha after husband, Roger’s, passing and spent her final years living with family.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her five siblings: Grace, Margaret, Leona, Gordon, and Richard.
She is survived by her son, Phil and his wife, Marilyn Baum of Garden Grove, CA; and her daughter Elizabeth (Betsy) Glascock of Kenosha. She also had five grandchildren; Joshua Glascock and wife, Kayleigh; Matthew Glascock, Shannon Marshall and her husband, Anthony; Brandon Baum and his wife Brooke; and April Baum. She was also the Great Grandmother to five: Hailey, Lorelai, and William Marhsall, Bea Baum, and Daisy Delgado. She will also be fondly remembered by life-long family friend, Richard (Babe) Guerrucci.
Graveside services will be held on May 31, 2024 at St. George Cemetery in Kenosha, WI.
