Fred B. Doerr Jr., 68, of Mt. Prospect, IL, passed away peacefully, Sunday, February 25, 2024 at Froedtert South St. Catherine’s Hospital.
He was born on December 8, 1955 to the late Fred B. and Verla (Ditch) Doerr in Chicago. He was educated in the schools of Mount Prospect.
Fred started working for Jewel Grocery Store at 15 years old and worked is his way up to receiving clerk for 50 years.
Fred loved swimming and being at the pool.
Fred is survived by his sisters Jeanne (Dennis) Sullivan and Jill (Robert) Thurlow. He is also survived by three nephews and a great nephew.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life for Fred will be held at a later date. Memorials would be appreciated to the Glaucoma Research Foundation in Fred’s memory.
