Barbara Ruth Havemann, 74, of Sturtevant, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Oak Ridge Care Center in Union Grove.
Born on May 12, 1949, in Youngstown, OH, she was the daughter of the late Gordon E. and Muriel Ruth (Appel) Ernst, Sr.
On March 29, 1975, she married Alan Havemann in Lindenhurst, IL. He preceded her in death in 2016.
She attended the Zion Memorial United Methodist Church and was a member the Moose Lodge in Zion, IL. In her spare time, Barbara enjoyed playing Bingo and going to Gateway Café with Alan.
Barbara is survived by her four children: Amy Havemann, Andrew (Kelly) Grimes, Alan (Kim) Grimes, and Angela Havemann, sister, Nancy (Ray) Kiefer, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gordon Ernst, Jr.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
