Raymond F. Gudowicz age 91 of Genoa City, WI died April 14, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Armstrong Creek, WI on December 11, 1932. The son of the late John and Regina (Makowski) Gudowicz. On July 8, 1961, he was united in marriage to Barbara Wolosyn. They moved from Chicago to Wheeling, IL where they enjoyed raising their family. Ray worked at GTE for 44 years then retired to a farm with an orchard in Genoa City, WI. Ray was a great outdoorsman, teaching his grandchildren how to hunt and fish. He loved taking his grandchildren four wheeling, apple picking in his orchards, and taught them how to build and fix just about anything. Ray passed on his love for “Up North” to his grandchildren by planting pine trees on properties for each of them. He shared his advice, life lessons, and supported all of his grandchildren’s endeavors. Although they lived far, he enjoyed conversations with his grandchildren and cheered them on in life.
Survived by his wife Barbara. Father to Michelle (Michael) Pigozzo and Mark Gudowicz. Grandfather to Cody, Michaela (Brandon) Keefe, Joseph, Jack and Joshua. Brother to Irene (the late James) Flosi and Bernard (the late Wanda) Gudowicz. Preceded in death by brothers Edwin (Julia) Gudowicz, John (Mary) Gudowicz, Frank Gudowicz; sisters: Wanda (Gene) Kulp, Eugenia (Robert) Sinclair, Florence (Claude) Spencer and Eleanora (Chuck) Young.
Memorial Service will be held on May 18, 2024, at 12:00PM at Trinity Church. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church.
