Sally Ann Knudson, passed away April 19, 2024 at Hospice House after a courageous fight against lung cancer. Sally was the daughter of Vernon and Genevieve Knudson. She was born on November 10, 1942.
Sally attended the following Kenosha schools: Bain Elementary, Washington Junior High and Bradford High School. She worked at Samuel Lowe, Quaker, Greco’s Restaurant, Leatherette Shop, American Heritage Industries, Kenosha Achievement Center and retired from the housekeeping department at Kenosha Memorial Hospital. Sally was known for her strong work ethic and passion for going above and beyond.
Sally was a special person, her love for family and friends was a defining aspect of her life. She loved God with all her heart and was an active member at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. Every year she supported the parish festival- “sweetie, do you want to buy a raffle ticket?” She also loved going out to eat with family and friends.
Sally will be remembered for her kindness and caring for all of those around her, including those at the soup kitchens and Shalom Center where she volunteered her time.
Sally will be deeply missed. Her passing will leave a void in the hearts of all who knew her, but her memory will live on through the countless lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Casimir Matoska. She is survived by her sister, Marian Matoska, her brothers, Edward (Carol) Knudson and Daniel (Judy) Knudson, eighteen nieces and nephews and countless great nieces and great nephews-all of whom she loved dearly.
The family is grateful for the caring staff at Froedtert South Pleasant Prairie and Hospice House.
