Richard C. Jones age 92 of Mesa, Arizona and formerly of Western Kenosha County passed away peacefully at his home on April 17, 2024. He was just shy of his 93rd birthday.
He was the son of the late John J. and Florence (Selby) Jones. He graduated from Wilmot Union High School and married Suzette (Susie) Morris on 10/4/52 in Salem, Wisc. He was drafted by the army just a month later and shipped off to Korea. He was a lifelong resident of Western Kenosha County where he was a dairy farmer until he retired in 1981. He and Susie then started splitting their time between Wisconsin in the summers and Mesa, Arizona in the winters. In 2015 they made Arizona their full-time residence. He was a true die-hard Cubs fan and had spring training season tickets in Mesa, AZ until giving them up this year. He was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife of over 71 years, Susie (Morris) of Mesa, his daughter Jackie Jones of Mesa, AZ, His 3 sisters, Judy Sala of Mesa, AZ, Joyce (Donald) Baier of Gilbert, AZ. and Colleen (Frank) Bear of Bristol, Wisconsin, his brothers-in-law George Morris of Wisconsin and Steve (Jean) Morris of Mesa, AZ along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Florence (Selby) Jones of Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, his brother John J Jones, Jr of Mesa, AZ, his sister Audrey (and James) Thomson of Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, a nephew Dean Baier of Redmond, WA and brothers-in-law Dale Oldenburg of Wilmot, WI and Frank Sala of Redmond, WA.
