Michael D. Beyer, 73 of Kenosha, WI, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024, at Aurora Medical Center of Kenosha. Michael was Born in Waukegan, IL, the son of the late Raymond and Elizabeth (Schueneman) Beyer. He grew up in North Chicago, graduating from the North Chicago Community High School in 1969. He entered the U.S. Air Force in April of 1971 and while in the military, served in S.A.C. Command in Missouri and Grand Forks. Michael was also a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the 366 Tactical Fighter Wing as a Canine Handler/Patrol Guard.
Michael was a postal carrier for North Chicago/Great Lakes for 26 years. He married Patricia on September 8, 1979. His hobbies included camping, backpacking, canoeing, fishing but most of all he loved spending time with his friends and family. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Beyer of Kenosha, Michael’s son, Timothy Allan of SC, grandsons: Cole and Brandon of SC; brothers John (Peggy) Beyer of IL, James (Charlotte) Beyer of WA; sister, Judith Beyer of IL, Mary Beth (Lovat) Veitch of Canada; also included are numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Jennifer; parents, Ray and Betty Beyer; brother, Joseph Beyer, and sister, Linda Belski.
Michael will most be remembered for his love of gardening, landscaping, holiday decorations, and his ability to make everyone around him laugh.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 14, from 10:00 to 11:00 at St. Mary of the Annunciation Church (22333 W. Erhard Rd, Mundelein, IL 60060) followed by a funeral mass at 11:00.
