Thomas Lee Sluga entered into eternal life on Tuesday, May 14th, 2024, at St. Catherine’s Hospital after battling a long illness. Tom was born July 7th, 1960, in Kenosha to Richard Sluga and Joyce Callahan. He was educated in Kenosha and attended Somers Elementary and Bullen Junior High.
On September 2nd, 2006, he married the love of his life Joanna (Williams) Sluga at Kenosha Fellowship Church. Tom was an exceptional, warm, kindhearted, loving, and caring human being. He touched everyone’s life he came into contact with. Tom loved Elvis Presley and was working on an Elvis puzzle he was unfortunately unable to finish. He was a diehard Packer fan and obtained two autographed footballs and an autographed helmet. His room was a memorial to Elvis Presley, John Wayne (The Duke), and the Packers, with tons of sentimental memorabilia. Tom loved collecting coins, snow skiing, puzzles, word searches, playing cards, and going down to the lake to collect sea glass.
He loved vacationing in Door County and Green Bay, taking in all the sights from the cities. He was great at a Donald Duck impression which caused laughter from anyone around him and brought him so much joy. He enjoyed going with his wife to festivals, PB & Jam, the Farmer’s Market, the Bandshell, and hiking through Petrifying Springs Park.
During the Summer, he would go to Wisconsin Dells to play miniature golf and enjoy some lunch before heading home. Tom loved his family very much and when he was younger, he cared for his Uncle Roger who was battling cancer. Tom always called his family and friends on their birthdays to sing them “Happy Birthday,” as his way of showing his love for them.
He is survived by his wife Joanna Sluga and his mother Joyce Callahan of Kenosha sisters Kathy Kreuser (Ross) in Ingleside Illinois, and Kimberly Pontillo (Ron) in Pleasant Prairie, his nephew Kody Deloria in South California, niece Audra and her husband Brian Hartwig, and great nieces Lena, Freya, and Alexa Hartwig in Cheyenne Wyoming, son Daniel Bosovich and daughter Dana Bosovich, grandchildren Matthew Bosovich and Devyn Bosovich in Kenosha, and his cat Riley.
He is preceded in death by his father Richard Sluga, stepfather Arnie Callahan, brother Steven Sluga, his baby sister Janet Sluga, and his aunt Janet Nies, and his dog Anya and cat Kibbles.
Thank you to Dr. Mario Garretto and the staff on floor two of St. Catherine’s Hospital for their care and love of Tom.
