Rosalyn “Rosie” Deardorf, age 78, of Kenosha passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Rosie was born on July 28, 1942 in Kenosha to Frank and Divina (Fortino) Andreoli. A life-long resident of Kenosha, she attended local schools and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School in 1961. Rosie married Edward Deardorf on September 18 of 1971 at St. Mary’s Lutheran Church in Kenosha. She worked in the offices at American Motors for 28 years and Aurora Medical Center for 10 years. Rosie was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and was on the board for many years; she was also a member of the Kenosha County Association for Home & Community Education. She enjoyed crafting, which included cross-stitch and ceramics. Rosie touched so many lives and was best known for her heart of gold, her intense love of family, as well as her unending love for everyone she had the privilege of meeting. She was also known for her cooking, baking, and pasta making, which she loved to do with her children and grandchildren. She especially enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by, her parents; a daughter, Marybeth Deardorf; four brothers, Frank, Albert, Roger and Bob Andreoli and her sister, Betty Wicker.
Rosie is survived by, her husband, Edward Deardorf; five children, Marty (Dawn) Deardorf, Kathleen (Peter) Goodall, Denise (Jeremiah Meyer) Deardorf, Michael (Patty) Deardorf and Scott (Danielle Sevich) Deardorf; eight grandchildren, Adam and Alex Neu, Andrew Deardorf, Madeline, Mariah, John and Grace Meyer and Melissa Oelke; her brother, Donald (Meg) Andreoli; sister, Jean Smith; sisters-in-law, Tina, Linda, Sharon, Jerrilyn, JoAnn; her brothers-in-law, John, John Jr., and Michael, as well as dozens of devoted nieces and nephews.
Private family services for Rosie were held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family so that they may give to charities in Rosie’s memory.
