Anthony “Tony” Nicolis Pontillo, 79, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Aurora Medical Center of Kenosha.
He was born on April 24, 1945, the son of the late Anthony and Eness (Cherenni) Pontillo. In 1991, he married the love of his life, Donna Pontillo in Kenosha.
Tony’s love for his late wife was incredible, and after losing her in 2015, he was lost, and he consumed his time and energy by driving his two classic cars to weekly car shows. Tony also hosted Kenosha’s largest car show, the Classic Cruise-In, which was a yearlong project for him. He was very proud of how large the cruise-in had grown in his hometown over the last twelve years.
Tony worked for Tri Clover of Ladish Company his whole life, until they closed. He then moved to Virginia for one year to help with the start up of a new company. Upon moving back to Kenosha, he retired and enjoyed his retirement with his wife. Tony also enjoyed spending time going out to dinner with friends and family.
He is survived by his children, Anthony (Karla) Pontillo, Scott (Nattharika) Pontillo, Sherry Gedgaudas-Pontillo; stepchildren, John (Renee) Piehl and Mike Piehl; Siblings, Sandra (Wayne) Loppnow and Jim Pontillo; grandchildren, Tyler Pontillo, Kaitlyn Larrow, Megan Fritz, Tanner McDonald, Elias Pontillo, Salomon Pontillo, Jada Pontillo, Owl Piehl, and Vanessa Piehl and many other family and friends.
